Roland Garros 2020 Wednesday's Schedule of play with Nadal, Thiem, Halep and S. Williams all in action

Wednesdays Roland Garros schedule of play is a majestic one full of not only interesting matches but a lot of star power gracing the clay courts.
Round 2 at the Roland Garros starts on Wednesday and the schedule is a fabulous one with many of the worlds best player on the court. The ATP part of the event will kick off with Stan Wawrinka taking on Dominik Koepfer. The Swiss love playing in Paris while the German has been one of the best clay performers as of late. Not long after them, Dominic Thiem will continue his Roland Garros quest to conquest with a match against Jack Sock. The American played his best tennis in a long time this week so he will be a formidable opponent.
Rafael Nadal will also step onto the court to face McDonald. The American doesn't do well on clay but Nadal won't mind and neither will his fans who will surely attend the match. The ATP part of the day will be closed by Alexander Zverev who will face off against Herbert who is a doubles specialist but far from an easy out in singles.
The WTA part of the event has a schedule that can rival the ATP one with ease as the programme will be kicked off by Victoria Azarenka who will take on Schmiedlova. Azarenka has been on a tear as of late so her matches always draw eyeballs. Another match that will draw a lot of curious eyes will be a clash between Serena Williams and Tsvetana Pironkova. They both shined in their first match and at the US Open as well so it will be good to see a competitive match between two very good players.
Simona Halep will face off against a fellow Romanian in Begu in her quest to continue her Roland Garros march which and winning streak. She looked stunning in her first match but Begu is a good clay player. The programme will be closed by Coco Gauff who will play Trevisan.
