The dynamic duo of
Carlos Alcaraz and
Jannik Sinner have dominated the Grand Slam tournaments over the past two years, and Greek tennis star
Stefanos Tsitsipas is of the opinion that both men will win at least ten major titles before they retire from the sport.
Tsitsipas, alongside the two aforementioned superstars, is competing at the
Six Kings Slam exhibition event in Saudi Arabia. Six elite players participate at the event, with the eventual champion taking home a hefty $6 million for winning the tournament.
The Greek ATP player entered the exhibition event as an alternate following British star's Jack Draper's withdrawal due to injury. Despite battling ongoing back issues, Tsitsipas participated at the event, where he faced Sinner in the first match.
Coming off an injury withdrawal at the Shanghai Masters, Sinner looked untouchable as he made short work of his Greek opponent. The Italian recorded a swift 6-2 6-3 victory over Tsitsipas, who would go on to defeat Novak Djokovic in the semifinals.
Both Sinner and Alcaraz will have double digit Grand Slams, predicts Tsitsipas
The Italian will take on rival Carlos Alcaraz in a blockbuster final. This will add another chapter to the ongoing rivalry between the two, with each man winning two of the four Grand Slam titles this season.
Sinner prevailed at the Australian Open and Wimbledon, where he shocked Alcaraz in the final. Conversely, Alcaraz recorded victories over Sinner in the final of both the French Open and US Open.
With several in the tennis community already comparing the duo to tennis legends Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, Tsitsipas gave a bold prediction regarding how far they could go in fulfilling their potential.
"I will not comment on that (their total Grand Slam tally) because I'm not good at forecasting," said the former World No.3. "I will just say that we will see Carlos and Jannik win many more Major titles. I'm pretty sure they will both collect over ten Major crowns by the end of their careers."
