On the other hand, Aryna Sabalenka is enjoying a few days off in Dubai and shared new images on her social media from her days at a luxury resort in the United Arab Emirates while preparing for her return to the courts at the WTA Finals, where Iga Swiatek is also confirmed. The world no. 2 this time gave details of her training in the gym, answering fan questions in a promotional video with On.

Alcaraz arrives in France for Last Masters 1000

Carlos Alcaraz is already in Paris preparing for his return to the courts at the final Masters 1000 of the year. The World No. 1 chose not to compete in the tournaments played this week—Vienna and Basel—and took a small break after his stint at the Six Kings Slam exhibition tournament, where he reached the final but fell to Jannik Sinner.
The Spaniard is preparing for one of the last challenges of the year in Paris, where he will seek to continue increasing his titles and achieve a good performance on indoor hardcourts, also keeping in mind that he still has the ATP Finals in Turin and the Davis Cup Finals to play—where he is confirmed for the Spanish team, which will face the Czech Republic.
The 6-time Major champion shared some photos of his arrival in Paris, a city that surely brings back good memories after obtaining the French Open title earlier this year—saving match points and successfully defending the title against Sinner. This time in Paris, he will seek to improve his previous campaigns in Bercy, where his best result was reaching the quarter-finals back in 2022.

Sinner's hot streak continues in Vienna

Meanwhile, Jannik Sinner has been the protagonist in the Austrian city of Vienna, where he arrived as the first seed at the tournament he won back in 2023—defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final. After withdrawing in 2024, this time the Italian made his return to the courts of Vienna with a convincing victory against Daniel Altmaier, 6-2, 6-0. The Italian was another one who shared photos on his social media after his return to Europe, where he was received with open arms by the Austrian public.
Following his withdrawal in China, Sinner participated a few days ago in the Six Kings Slam, where he took the trophy for the second consecutive year and a $6 million prize. The World No. 2 is now preparing for his next challenge against his compatriot Flavio Cobolli this Thursday, seeking a place in the quarter-finals.

Sabalenka enjoys Dubai getaway

While several of the big stars of the ATP and WTA continue in competition in the final weeks, one who is taking days off is World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka. At least free from competition, as she prepares for her final challenge of the season in a few weeks at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, after qualifying for the 5th consecutive season and seeking her first title in the competition—after reaching the final in 2022 and semi-finals in 2023 and 2024.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old Belarusian has taken some time to relax and shared some photos of her visit to Dubai—where she was with her friend Paula Badosa a few days ago. This time she shared photos from a luxurious resort in Dubai, enjoying a restaurant with one of her friends.
The 4-time Grand Slam champion last appeared at the beginning of the month at the Wuhan Open—where she was the three-time defending champion, but ended up falling in the semi-finals to the American Jessica Pegula. Sabalenka has nonetheless secured finishing the year atop the rankings, regardless of what happens in Riyadh, thanks to the large gap she created over Iga Świątek.

Shelton returns to form

Ben Shelton was happy with his return to the courts at the Swiss Indoors Open, where he secured his first victory since the recent injury that has complicated the last couple of months. The American suffered knee problems during the US Open that forced him to retire during the third-round match against Adrian Mannarino. Soon after, he had to skip several tournaments, including the Davis Cup, Laver Cup, and Tokyo Open, only to return at the Shanghai Masters—where he made an early exit against David Goffin.
This time back in Europe, Shelton achieved his first victory in two months, saving a match point against the Pole Kamil Majchrzak with a final score of 6-7, 6-3, 7-6. The World No. 6 will face the Spaniard Jaume Munar in the Round of 16, looking to continue his run in the tournament.

Swiatek's gym routine

Iga Swiatek starred in a promotional video with her sponsor On, where she showed a close-up of part of her gym training routine before competition. "Today I'm going to answer some questions about my exercises and my workouts," the Pole commented at the beginning of the video, where she discussed the type of strength and agility work she does—as well as the music she enjoys for training, mentioning a Red Hot Chili Peppers song as her favorite.
The 6-time Grand Slam champion last appeared at the recent Wuhan Open, where she suffered a painful defeat in the quarter-finals against 7th seed Jasmine Paolini, ending the Asian season. Despite the problems and uncertainties throughout the season, Świątek delivered another great year on the WTA Tour, with three titles—including Wimbledon, the Cincinnati Open, and the Korea Open, in addition to being World No. 2 with a wide margin over third-ranked Gauff. She will arrive at the WTA Finals looking to win the title for the first time in Riyadh, though without the possibility of reclaiming the World No. 1 ranking—which is currently comfortably held by Sabalenka.
