World no. 7 Alexander Zverev claimed his biggest title since 2018 last week in Acapulco, heading to Miami with a lot of confidence and desire to achieve a good result.
Zverev reminded that he was two points away from a Major title last September against Dominic Thiem, saying that gives him an extra motive to push even harder and improve all the elements of his game and become a Major contender in the future.
"That loss made me, in a way, even hungrier. I was two points away from winning my first Major title at the US Open, but I didn't at the end of the day. You have to look at those things as well. In a way, this year, I feel like I'm more motivated than ever to do well. I'm trying to improve every single aspect of the game to give myself the best chance that I can have.
I feel like I'm building towards that. I want to win them all. I'm looking forward to the following weeks. I'm not trying to think of the Majors right now because they are still far away. We have four Masters 1000 events before that and some other big events. I'm trying to focus on that and do my best in every of those," Alexander Zverev said.
