Fans at the 2021 Abierto Mexicano Acapulco witnessed a very rare event when they've seen an earthquake during the semifinal match of the tournament.
Alexander Zverev was playing against Dominik Koepfer in the semifinal of the 2021 Abierto Mexicano Acapulco when everything started to shake during the rally. The players continued playing with Zverev winning the point.
It was a very rare event that happened on a tennis court, and after the match, Zverev commented on how he saw the situation. The German said:
"The lights started shaking, and the crowd felt it more than we did. We were running around the court, so we had to play a point during the earthquake. We didn't feel much, but still, obviously, I know it happens here in Acapulco."
