VIDEO: Rublev jokingly accuses Federer of split loyalties at Laver Cup: "Roger was supporting Team World"

Andrey Rublev was interviewed alongside Alexander Zverev by Jim Courier at the Laver Cup on the final day and jokingly accused Roger Federer of split loyalties.

Rublev and his partner Zverev saw off Reilly Opelka and Denis Shapovalov to seal the deal 6-2 6-7(4) 10-3 and when Courier thanked Federer - Rublev interjected.

"I don't know, I saw Roger today was supporting Team World during our doubles," said Rublev.

To which Zverev agreed referencing Federer helping to give teammate coaching against John Isner.

“Actually, that makes sense now because he was trying to confuse me during the singles yesterday as well. While the whole team was telling me to do one thing he was telling me to do the complete opposite. So now, I understand - smart guy over there.”
