(VIDEO) Tennis power couple Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya share kiss after Italian wins second Grand Slam title at US Open

Jannik Sinner had one familiar face supporting him and congratulating him on winning the 2024 US Open in the form of fellow pro, Anna Kalinskaya who he embraced and kissed after his straight sets win over Taylor Fritz in the final.

Sinner and Kalinskaya have been together since prior to the French Open. The World No.1 who previously dated model Maria Braccini and is very much one for keeping his private life just that so perhaps was a surprise when he dated Kalinskaya.

But dating a tennis pro who is also high ranked with Kalinskaya set to reach World No.14 tomorrow for the first time means that it is hard to get away from. He initially shied away from talking about the relationship and merely confirmed it to dispel the rumours circling further.

"You know, I don’t like to talk much about my private life," Sinner said at the French Open. "Yes, I’m with Anna, but we keep everything very confidential. I won’t say more."

But Kalinskaya has been a constant presence alongside Sinner during most tournaments. Due to play in Guadalajara next week initially, she stayed back to watch the final play out with Sinner winning it 6-3, 6-4, 7-5.

It has also been an interesting time both for Sinner but Kalinskaya with the former dodging the reaction to failing two drugs tests getting out and the court of public opinion having their say. Kalinskaya also had her ex boyfriend and fellow tennis player Nick Kyrgios receive heavy backlash for calling Sinner a 'second serve' in a highly slammed comment.

But in the end similar to Sabalenka, the true winner in this was the favourite from Day One and he gets to celebrate with his team and also Kalinskaya. A tough few weeks and one which ends with Sinner confirming himself as the top player in tennis again. Melbourne and now New York, job done.
