Andrey Rublev's temper continues to get the better of him albeit he did defeat
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the end after finally snapping his streak previously at the
Madrid Open of recent defeats after the Dubai line judge fiasco.
Rublev won through 7-6, 6-4 but it wasn't without line judge controversy during both sets. It is up to humans instead of hawkeye at Caja Magica with Rafael Nadal fuming for instance yesterday. A point that Rublev himself mentioned during his first controversy. He suggested that umpires should be replaced by machines.
This after it was called out and the challenge was rescinded after Rublev voiced his frustrations. Only for this to happen again making the Russian even more irate and running quickly towards the umpire to make his case. This time it was an umpire decision to not award the point and to replay it something which Rublev fumed at. It is another iteration though of Rublev who is known as one of the most likeable players off the court not having the best temper on it. But also points towards the issues surrounding line judges which continues.
