Alexander Zverev was in high spirits during the
Indian Wells Masters media day and he even positively responded to a question about his domestic abuse case.
The German player got tired of being asked many questions about the domestic abuse case during the US Open notifying every reporter that he would not entertain any questions on that topic. Since then it was announced that the ATP has formally launched their own investigation on that matter and asked about that he responded:
"Well bloody finally, to be honest. I've been asking them myself for months now, asking them to do that since London last year because it's very hard for me as you guys know to clear my name and only with something like this I can completely."
It's a revealing statement that signals Zverev's full belief and assertions that he is completely innocent in this matter. The accusations against Zverev are damning in many ways and it will be interesting to see what the result of this internal ATP investigation is.
It will certainly take a while a no one should expect results quickly but it will either result in Zverev completely clearing his name or the opposite. The German is convinced it will end positively for him but only time will tell.
