Alexander Zverev gave an interview to Bild am Sonntag and the German expressed what he would like to see in tennis moving forward.
Alexander Zverev has always been a very outspoken player not afraid of taking a stance that is not in line with the majority of the tennis community. In his latest interview with the German newspaper, Bild am Sonntag Zverev talked about many different topics in tennis including the end of the season. On that he said:
"After the US Open, another Masters, a 500 level tournament, and the (ATP) Finals, then we're done at the end of October. The body already needs two months to recover."
Zverev has a fair point about the tennis season being fairly long and grueling but considering the amount of money involved it's really hard to see anything changing. Zverev is also not a fan about the Australian Open being as early as it is but that is mostly to the season ending so late. He said:
"I'll start again with training in early December. For a grand slam three weeks isn't enough to be top fit."
Once again a fair point by Zverev but it's hard seeing anything change in the near future. What do you think? Do you agree with Zverev? Tell us below.
