The star-studded lineup of the teams for the upcoming 2023 Laver Cup has been announced, featuring some of the best players on the planet.
The competition is played between two teams comprising Team Europe and Team World. Just like every year, both teams will have a host of superstars representing them in the tournament.
The world number seven Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas, Denmark’s Holger Rune, three-time Grand Slam finalist Norway’s Casper Ruud, Russia’s Andrey Rublev, Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz and France’s Gael Monfils will represent the European team.
On the other hand, America’s Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton, Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo and Felix Auger Aliassime will represent the Team World.
The tournament will be played from September 22 to 24 in Vancouver, Canada.
The competition started back in 2017 when Team Europe ended up beating Team World with a score of 15-9.
The results were similar in the 2018, 2019 and 2021 editions where Team Europe continued to dominate.
Last year was a special event where Team World finally managed to get the better of Team Europe as they emerged victorious with a score of 13-8.
