Madison
Keys admitted to feeling a bit envious of the content shared by Stefanos
Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa on social media.
The
relationship between the Spanish and Greek players has been one of the most
talked-about topics in recent weeks since they officially confirmed their
relationship. Both tennis players have been consistently sharing photos and
videos of their everyday lives, showcasing their relationship.
American
tennis player Madison Keys commented on the posts uploaded by the new couple,
affectionately referred to as 'Tsidosa'. In response, the 28-year-old athlete
spoke about her own relationship with fellow American tennis player Bjorn
Fratangelo, whom she has been dating since 2017 and announced their engagement
a few months ago.
“Their
content is far more organized than Bjorn & I. They pumped out a lot more
than we have in 6 years. I'm honestly a bit jealous, Bjorn & I have
virtually no photos together. That seems like no issue for them, which is great,”
former world No. 7 said.
Keys and Fratangelo mixed doubles
American couple have joined forces on the court, as they have played together twice
in the mixed doubles event at the US Open 21’ and 22’. In 2021, Keys commented:
'We'll have
some fun.' I'm very happy that I did."
"I
think being able to have a moment together on the track is definitely something
that will stick in my mind," she added.
Tsitsipas
and Badosa were ready to team up in the mixed doubles event at this year's
Wimbledon, but Badosa suffered a back injury during her second-round match
against Lesia Tsurenko, which forced her to retire from the third Grand Slam of
the year without completing the match (6-1, 1-0 down).
On the
other hand, Tsitsipas has reached the round of 16 after facing tough challenges
in the early rounds. He first defeated Dominic Thiem in a thrilling 10-point
tiebreak in the fifth set, and then had to go the distance again to overcome
the home favorite Andy Murray. With a comfortable victory over Laslo Djere in
the third round, he will face the surprising American Christopher Eubanks on
Monday, aiming to reach the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the first time on his
career.
