Taylor Fritz took part in a fun Q&A session while awaiting the US Open final. The American had to choose between various sports legends and spoke about some of the global stars he admires.

Fritz reveals his dream doubles partner and celeb fan
Taylor Fritz made a major leap in
his career by reaching his first Grand Slam final after defeating Frances
Tiafoe in a thrilling five-set battle. The American No. 1 will compete for the
US Open title on Sunday against the world No. 1.
As the
leading male figure for the local crowd, the US Open's social media shared a
relaxed interview with Fritz where he talked about some of his favorite sports
figures and discussed who he’d like to play doubles with or who could become a
great tennis player.
“What
historical figure would you most want to play doubles with?” the interviewer
asked Fritz during a round of questions and answers. “I have to say Serena if
I’m being honest,” he said. “And if not an athlete?” the interviewer responded.
“My girlfriend if she could play tennis.”
“What
celebrity would you most want to play in front of that hasn’t pulled up to a
match yet?” Fritz was asked. “I’d be pretty pumped if Ronaldo would watch me
play,” the world No. 12 said. “Either one.”
They also
compared athletes across different sports, such as Novak Djokovic’s return of
serve versus Nikola Jokic’s passing, or Coco Gauff’s serve versus Caitlyn

Leylah Fernandez shares closet cleanup
Leylah
Fernandez shares a video of her days at home while reorganizing her closet. The
2021 US Open runner-up suffered an early exit at the year’s final Grand Slam,
losing in a tight three-set battle against Russia's Anastasia Potapova.
With her
early departure, the Canadian took the opportunity to return home for a few
days before heading to the Asian swing, where she is scheduled to compete in
the WTA 1000 China Open starting on September 25.
“I haven’t
been home for a very long time, because of that, I have been receiving some
gifts from Lululemon, which is great. At the same time, my closet is full, so
we are going to do out with the old, in with the new,” she said in her new
Instagram video.
Fernandez
shared in the video as she got rid of some old clothes and showed the
reorganization of her closet: “Funny story, these pants were originally
supposed to be for my dad, he bought them for himself, but he didn’t check the
sizing and didn’t realize they were actually for women,” she commented while
showing one of her pants.
Matteo Berrettini confused for finance man in fun ATP Video
Matteo Berrettini was the star of the latest ATP video. In this entertaining clip, people in New York were shown a picture of the Italian and asked what kind of job they thought he had, based solely on his appearance.
The reactions of those interviewed were later shown to Berrettini and several ATP stars, including Jack Draper, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Arthur Fils, and Thanasi Kokkinakis.
“This guy, wow. I don’t think he works,” one of the first interviewees commented. “This guy is in finance, he’s got the watch,” responded another fan.

This 'article' may be informative for newbies or fair-weather tennis observers but the majority of fans know the root of the multiple issues within WTA. The #1 issue being the subject of health & well-being which has been (or has attempted to be) addressed with the WTA Elitist council members last season. WTA was extremely dismissive of players' concerns and opposed to such a meeting. Eventually giving-in due to publicity and allowed selective players only -- no rep's, no medical personnel, and no team members. The meeting was a farce as WTA soon after that released an even more hectic schedule... with mandatory tourneys! Guess they weren't taking notes?? BTW: There is a lot missing from this piece concerning "withdrawals". No writer has yet taken the jump to get behind the scenes and dig at the problems -- obvious organizational problems. IMO, the top two issues are WTA's lack of proper attention to health & well-being of its Money-Makers; and Financial Greed. Tip to Mr. Lloyd: there is no "snubbing" when these players withdraw. These women have to take such measures as withdrawing from a tourney, and occasional time-off from the circuit, to protect themselves -- because WTA refuses to take any measures at all (although not allowing matches until sunrise is a start).
