Kyrgios and Osaka announce mixed doubles exhibition ahead of US Open

Nick Kyrgios and Naomi Osaka shared on social media that they will have a unique partnership in a mixed doubles match in the coming days. Just a few days before the start of the US Open, Kyrgios will return to the courts for an exhibition at Flushing Meadows, where he will have a top-tier partner for the mixed doubles.
“I know it’s been a long time, but it’s finally arrived. I’m passing the phone to one of the biggest game changers this game has ever seen. Four-time Grand Slam champion and my partner for the Mixed Madness. Can’t wait to get it going,” commented Kyrgios in a video posted on social media.
“Hi everyone, it’s Naomi,” said the former world No. 1 in the video. “Tuesday’s coming soon and it’s gonna be my first time on Ashe in a little bit. So I’m really excited to play and I can’t wait to see you all,” she added.
In mid-2022, Kyrgios became the first signing of Osaka's sports agency, Evolve, which recently also signed Ukrainian player Anna Kalinskaya, currently their only three clients in tennis. Kyrgios and Osaka are also co-owners of the Miami Pickleball Club.

Carlos Alcaraz’s US Open kit revealed

The outfit that Carlos Alcaraz will wear at the upcoming US Open has been revealed. The Spanish player has had a contract with the American brand Nike since 2019, which was renewed in 2024, and it is estimated that he earns between $15 and $20 million per year.
As one of the brand's top stars, Alcaraz's supposed outfit for the US Open was revealed on social media. The four-time Grand Slam champion will return to playing in a sleeveless shirt, this time in black, with the Nike logo centered on the chest.
Alcaraz will aim to secure his third consecutive Grand Slam title at Flushing Meadows, after winning the French Open and Wimbledon. However, he only played one match on hardcourt at the Cincinnati Open and suffered an early exit against Gael Monfils, which he himself described as 'the worst match of his career.'

Raducanu enjoys english summer while training for US Open comeback

Emma Raducanu shared an update with her fans about her recent days while being out of competition. The former 2021 US Open champion had a strong performance at the WTA 500 DC Open, reaching the quarterfinals but falling to eventual champion Paula Badosa. Since then, she has not competed again, having skipped the Canadian Open and Cincinnati Open.
With several weeks without competition, Raducanu remains in London, enjoying the English landscapes before her next challenge at the US Open, starting on Monday, August 26th. The former world No. 10 shared a compilation of photos on Instagram, taking advantage of the English summer, including one from the gym where she is training in the final days before traveling to New York: “get a grip,” Raducanu captioned.

Auger-Aliassime and Kalinskaya attempt to recreate Gael Monfils’ iconic shot

Felix Auger-Aliassime and Anna Kalinskaya teamed up in a fun video at the Cincinnati Open to try to recreate an iconic shot by Gael Monfils. The unexpected duo attempted to recreate an incredible shot by Monfils from the 2016 Indian Wells tournament on a practice court in Cincinnati.
The Frenchman was facing Federico Delbonis and spun 360° after a volley from his opponent, hitting an incredible backhand winner. “It’s pretty good because he loses sight of the ball for a good second. It’s tough to know where the ball is once you turn around,” said Felix after watching the video of Monfils' incredible shot. “I definitely can’t slide like that, but I will do my best,” Kalinskaya added.
After watching the video, Felix and Kalinskaya took turns trying to make a similar shot. “I admire Monfils more and more for his tricky shots,” commented the Russian in the midst of her attempts. “It’s actually more difficult than I thought. I’m starting to feel a little dizzy,” she added.

WTA stars show off their syle in Cincinnati

A video shared on the WTA’s social media shows some of the stars strolling through the Cincinnati Open facilities. In the early days of the tournament, the players walked among the public, showcasing their off-court outfits and posing for some photos.
The video features Paula Badosa, Aryna Sabalenka, Bianca Andreescu, and Zheng Qinwen. “Roll the tape 🎥 Our players strolled into @cincytennis looking fierce this week!” the post captioned.

Del Potro and Sabatini training for US Open legends

Juan Martín del Potro and Gabriela Sabatini shared a photo of their training session ahead of their partnership at the US Open. The former Argentine tennis stars will team up for the Legends matches prior to the tournament's start and shared a photo on social media while training together.
Del Potro won the title at Flushing Meadows in 2009 after defeating Roger Federer in the final. Sabatini, on the other hand, was the champion in 1990, having beaten Steffi Graf. Now, both Argentinians will team up in the Legends matches, where they will face Andy Roddick and Venus Williams.
