Novak Djokovic will compete at the US Open with a '23' on his ASICS FF3 Novak shoes to represent all the Grand Slam titles he has won so far.
It is almost an understatement to say that Djokovic has achieved a lot in his career. Having spent a record 389 weeks as world No. 1 in the past, the Serb has 95 titles to his name.
Now, the 23 most important of these titles will be featured on his shoes as he participates in the last Grand Slam of the year at Flushing Meadows. The '23' is a direct nod to his 10 wins at the Australian Open, seven wins at Wimbledon, and three wins each at the Roland Garros and US Open.

Djokovic's '23' to feature on famous shoes

Djokovic has worked with sportswear company ASICS to create what some have called the best shoes in the sport. In an interview with the Evening Standard in July of this year, the 36-year-old highlighted the importance of having the right footwear on the court.
"I feel lighter on my feet, more flexible, can change direction quicker, slide and still have stability. It was really important to invent a shoe that I’m going to use and is able to adapt well on all different surfaces," he said.
The ASICS FF3 Novak shoes also includes a unique three-section sole system that helps players to break and rebound better off different angles.

Fans react to addition of '23' to shoe

Fans have had a mixed reaction to the addition of '23' to the Serb's shoes. Some responses were positive:
"He looked especially awesome. Kit in last Cincinnati tournament.  @DjokerNole Always a fan !" wrote one on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Meanwhile, another suggested a slight alteration to the design in order to imply that Djokovic is not going to stop at 23 Grand Slam titles:
"They gotta put the … after the 23. Get creative," they wrote.
However, others were against the addition of '23' altogether:
"Noooooo! It was a curse last time," commented one.
