Novak Djokovic's father has urged Roger Federer to take a permanent break from tennis and retire after his latest injury layoff in a recent interview.
Federer leads the way in terms of Grand Slams with 20 in all but for Djokovic, he believes that the Swiss legend should accept the fact that Nadal and his son will catch up with him.
"Why do you think he is still playing at 40?" said Srdan Djokovic to Sport Klub.
"Imagine that, a 40-year-old man still playing tennis, when he could go home and do some more interesting things.
"But since both Nadal and Novak are breathing down his neck, he simply cannot accept the fact that they will be better than him. Go man, raise children, do something else, go and ski, do something."
