Tennis legend
Jimmy Connors has made the claim that
Rafael Nadal and
Roger Federer can't have a claim to GOAT status in their own era due to
Novak Djokovic.
Despite Djokovic losing in the final of Wimbledon, he still sits on 23 Grand Slam titles more than anyone else and disagrees that he has had enough like many predict.
He won't get the chance for the Calendar Grand Slam, but Djokovic will return to the US in pole position to extend his dominance and Connors said Nadal and Djokovic aren't even the best in their own era no mind all time.
"It comes to a point where a lot of people think he’s had enough. To me that’s bulls**t. Look at all the people that were on the Federer bandwagon and the Nadal bandwagon as the greatest of all time. They’re not even the greatest of all time in their own era," he said.
He also referenced the fact that the fans don't like Djokovic but Connors wants him to keep going and keeping killing it.
"They think that maybe he’s had enough and it’s time for somebody else to come up. I look at it the other way, I say 'Kill it.' Stay out there and play until somebody just comes up and beats your brains out because you always got a chance to win," he added.
