Novak Djokovic will not play at the Canadian Open due to fatigue with Tennis Canada reporting that he has withdrawn on Sunday evening.
The 36-year-old 23 time Grand Slam champion reached the final of Wimbledon last weekend losing to Carlos Alcaraz in a marathon tie.
Speaking after the tournament, he cited Cincinnati as his main port of call for preparation meaning that he had seemingly confirmed he was out of Toronto.
This has now been confirmed. It is a tournament that he has won four times over the course of his career.
Christopher Eubanks as a result after his surprising Quarter-Final run at Wimbledon was the next player on the direct entry list.
He will now enter the main draw as Djokovic's replacement similar to his Atlanta Open spot this past week.
