Ever since he made history in 2015 by being the youngest player to qualify for an ATP Challenger main draw at 14 years of age, Felix Auger-Aliassime has experienced a meteoric rise on the ATP Tour.

The young Canadian has reached five ATP singles finals, including successive finals in Rotterdam and Marseille this year. Furthermore, he has cracked the Top 20, reaching a career-high of World No.17 in October 2019. Despite his success, Auger-Aliassime has maintained his humility and stresses that he'd like to leave a good example for the future generation.
"People will get to know me over the years and probably know that I want to leave a good example for the generation after," Auger-Aliassime said. "I want to inspire kids to get interested in the sport, but further than that, just be a good citizen."
The 19-year old revealed that he always had aspirations of becoming a professional tennis player as a child. He added that his self-belief helped drive him to achieve his current success today.
"Since the day I decided I wanted to play tennis as a career, I never looked back." Auger-Aliassime disclosed. "I was pretty lucky to get results when I was still young… It's not the same for every player, but I think the expectations were high from myself and from the people around me since I'm very young.
Now, I'm just living my dream. I never thought of doing anything else, which is weird to say to other teenagers that I see who are finding themselves not really knowing what they want to do. There was no guarantee that I would make it, obviously, but at the same time, I never doubted myself that that is what I wanted to do."
