Chris Evert has featured in a promotional video for AI-powered fan experiences.
The former World No. 1 posted a reel on her Instagram, in which she promotes fantasy sport with NFL star Eli Manning. In the video, they also highlight AI Commentary and Waiver Wire Insights powered by IBM watsonx.
The feature is available for both the 2023
US Open and ESPN Fantasy Football apps, which is why the two sporting stars collide worlds for the clip.
Video features comedic twist
In the video, Evert can be seen in the locker room, when Manning walks in and asks her:
"Chris, do you know what time it is?"
In a comedic twist, Evert then turns around holding a football, delcaring:
"It's fantasy football time!"
The footballer then confusedly replies:
"No, it's US Open time!"
The clip then goes on to advertise the fantasy US Open and football options.
The two sporting icons also took part in another IBM Sports and Entertainment commercial that was released on August 31. In the clip, Evert could be seen showing Manning a highlight reel of her practice match.
Evert joined ESPN as a commentator and analyst in 2011 and has been working as an analyst at the 2023 US Open. Throughout her highly successful career, Evert won 18 major singles titles and was ranked World No. 1 for 260 weeks across the 1970s and 1980s.
