Sinner claims 4th title of 2025 at Vienna Open
Jannik Sinner celebrated his new Vienna Open title after defeating Alexander Zverev 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 in Sunday's final. The world No. 2 secured his 4th title of the season and the 22nd of his career, in what was his first rematch against Zverev since the Australian Open final at the beginning of the year, which was the first tournament the Italian played in the season.
“It feels amazing,” said Sinner, “It was such a difficult start in this final for me. I went a break down, had some chances in the first set but couldn’t use them. He was serving very well, but I just tried to stick there mentally and play my best tennis when it came.
To date, Sinner has a 48-6 record in 2025 – winning four titles in 8 finals. The Italian shared some photos with the champion's trophy on social media: “This one feels very special 🏆 Thank you all for the support ❤️ @erstebankopen”
Fonseca celebrates biggest title with family
Joao Fonseca had a special celebration for his first ATP 500 title at the Basel Open alongside his family, after defeating Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-3, 6-4, securing the second title of his career. Fonseca not only had the support of the Brazilian public who came to Basel, but also his parents, who traveled specifically to Switzerland after seeing that their son had reached the final.
Fonseca’s parents were not in Basel during the week, but they made the effort to catch a flight after the Brazilian teenager defeated Jaume Munar in the semi-finals. They arrived just a few hours before the start of the final in Basel. “My parents just arrived from Brazil. They were coming to Paris, they changed their flights and arrived one hour before the match with my uncles,” Fonseca said. “It's incredible to have them here for the most important title of my career.”
Ons Jabeur to attend WTA Finals in Riyadh as tournament ambassador
Ons Jabeur confirmed her presence at the WTA Finals in Riyadh again, even though she will not be competing this time. The former world No. 2 played in the WTA Finals back in 2022 and 2023, both times being eliminated in the Round Robin with a 2-4 record to date. The Tunisian has faced injuries and irregular results this 2025, which led her to end her year after her early elimination in the Wimbledon first round, when she retired injured in her match against Victoriya Tomova.
Jabeur, 31, is waiting for her return to the courts in 2026, although she will have one commitment to close out this year: the WTA Finals, as a tournament ambassador. The 3-time Grand Slam runner-up was already an ambassador in Riyadh back in 2024. On that occasion, the Tunisian took a role to encourage women's sports in Arab countries. “Hello everyone, i’m very hapy to be back in Riyadh for the WTA Finals,” Jabeur posted in a video on social media speaking in Arabic. “I hope the atmosphere will be incredible, and i can’t wait t osee the fans’ amazing energy.”

The Rafa Nadal Academy has centers in Spain, Kuwait, Mexico, Greece, and Hong Kong, the latter of which opened its doors in July 2022.
The Spaniard traveled with part of his family to Hong Kong with a series of commitments related to his foundation and his Academy, including his participation in a fundraising event – the Children Ball 2025 – where Nadal was one of the protagonists. “We are proud to have participated in the Children Ball 2025, a fundraising event in support of our projects. Thank you to everyone who made it possible!”, Rafa conveyed on his and his family’s behalf.
Muchova ends 'tough love' 2025 season
Former French Open runner-up Karolina Muchova shared a series of photos of her time at the Tokyo Open, her last tournament of the season, after falling in the quarter-finals to eventual champion Belinda Bencic. It was an especially physical match, lasting over three hours, and it marked the end of the 2025 season for Muchova. “Thank you for the love Tokyo 🤍…and thats a wrap on 2025–tough love kind of season 😝 Appreciate the support, always🤘🏽 Now time to disappear for a minute 🌊😌”
The Czech looked in good form during the latter part of the year, with a solid Asian swing, posting a 6-4 record and without presenting the physical problems that complicated her for much of the season. Muchova is guaranteed to finish the season in the top-20 (currently No. 19 in the WTA Race), with a 24-16 record for the year and over $2 million in on-court earnings.
