Daily Dose of Social Media, several players are already enjoying their days off now that the season has ended, including
Emma Raducanu and Belinda Bencic, who shared some photos of their recent days of relaxation. Also, former No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki showed off her tender family costumes in her Halloween celebration a day ago.
On the other hand,
Aryna Sabalenka received the World No. 1 trophy as she prepares for her participation in the WTA Finals, while Jasmine Paolini celebrated her victorious doubles debut alongside Sara Errani.
Auger-Aliassime celebrates semifinals victory in Paris
Félix Auger-Aliassime went to social media to celebrate his advancement to the Paris Masters final after defeating Alexander Bublik 7-6, 6-4. The World No. 10 again advances without complications, reaching his second Masters 1000 final—after falling at the Madrid Open 2024 against Andrey Rublev. The Canadian is increasingly closer to the ATP Finals. The Canadian can rightly be considered one of the indoor hardcourt specialists, with 7 titles on the surface—including three ATP 500s.
This time at the Paris Masters, he will face a greater challenge against World No. 2 Jannik Sinner—who is on a 9-match winning streak—after winning the Vienna Open title. Auger-Aliassime is practically guaranteed the Turin ATP Finals spot after accumulating 3,845 points, 160 points ahead of Lorenzo Musetti. The Italian received a last-minute wild card into the Athens Open, so he can still steal the spot from Auger-Aliassime if he wins the title and Félix fails to score points. Sabalenka receives top ranking trophy ahead of WTA Finals debut
Aryna Sabalenka received the year-end World No. 1 award before her WTA Finals debut. The World No. 1 received the recognition after securing the top spot in the rankings for the end of the year, following her semi-final run at the Wuhan Open. As is traditional, the year-end No. 1 trophy was awarded, though this time at the start of the WTA Finals, given that her position is not at risk regardless of the results.
Sabalenka's great year gives her a difference of 1,675 points over second-place Iga Swiatek, with only a maximum of 1,500 points available to the champion. The Belarusian will seek her first Finals title, having reached the final in 2022 and the semi-finals in 2023 and 2024.
Bencic ends season with tourist potos in Hong Kong
Belinda Bencic shared photos of her first visit to the Hong Kong Open, shortly after ending her season. The Swiss player—champion of the WTA 500 Tokyo Open one week prior—was eliminated in the quarter-finals of Hong Kong. The top seed won in straight sets against Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Yafan Wang, but did not show up for the quarter-final match against Cristina Bucsa due to an injury. It was her last tournament of the season, and she ends the year with a 7-match winning streak and her position as World No. 1 at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old Swiss player took advantage of her time in the city to visit some of the main attractions and also thanked the tournament organization after her participation.
Paolini and Errani eye top doubles spot
Jasmine Paolini celebrated her successful debut in the WTA Finals doubles alongside her compatriot Sara Errani. The top-seeded pair won convincingly against the 8th seed Asia Muhammad and Demi Schuurs 6-3, 6-3. The Italians have the possibility of finishing as World No. 1 if they win the title—and the Siniakova/Townsend duo is eliminated in the Round Robin.
Paolini will be back in action this Sunday, this time in the singles draw, being the only player participating in both disciplines. The Italian will debut against World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in what is her second appearance at the WTA Finals—having been eliminated in the Round Robin in 2024, in both singles and doubles.
Raducanu enjoys off-season break in Kent
Emma Raducanu shared some photos of her days off touring in Kent, a county near London in the United Kingdom. The former US Open champion ended her season after a first-round defeat at the Ningbo Open to Zhu Lin, 6-3, 4-6, 1-6. The Brit has had a couple of weeks into the off-season and used her time to travel and enjoy her free time, after finishing the season inside the Top 30—one of Raducanu’s big goals, which will allow her to be among the seeds at the 2026 Australian Open.
Wozniacki’s cute Halloween photos
Caroline Wozniacki shared tender family photos for Halloween, while keeping the public guessing about whether she will resume her career after another break. Following her return to the courts in 2023—after 3 and a half years since her retirement—Wozniacki made several appearances at the WTA level, including reaching the quarter-finals at Indian Wells and the fourth round at the US Open twice.
However, the former World No. 1 took a new hiatus this 2025, after announcing the pregnancy of her third child with her husband, former NBA player, David Lee. The former Australian Open champion welcomed their third child, Max, who is now 3 months old.
