Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz set to collide in tennis first: exhibition shown exclusively live on Netflix in Las Vegas

Spanish master v Spanish apprentice as Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz will do battle in a different type of environment in March during the great Spaniard's potential final year on tour.
Nadal and Alcaraz will play an exhibition during the days before 2024 BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas which confirms the notion that the former will play all of the tour next year which was mooted by uncle Toni Nadal.
Exclusively live on Netflix
In a match that has been previously due to take place before, it will have an interesting caveat with Netflix set to stream it on their platform exclusively live as they look to garner a foothold into the ever changing tennis landscape.
Additional players and match-ups will take place at the Netflix Slam with Nadal and Alcaraz being the headliners. It is at a time when coverage like the tours is slightly fragmented. Sky Sports recently has taken over tour events in the UK, Tennis Channel is the main proprietor in the US and Eurosport also shows Grand Slams. But Netflix could hold a new dawn also for big-time match-ups similar to boxing.
“I’m very excited for my first visit to Las Vegas, one of the most iconic and entertaining cities in the world,” said Nadal. “I’m also very excited to be playing with my fellow countryman Carlos Alcaraz. I am sure it will be a fantastic night of tennis.”
“I’m honored and so happy to be sharing the court with Rafa in Las Vegas,” said Alcaraz, U.S. Open and Wimbledon champion. “He’s an all-time great, of course, and his records and achievements speak for themselves. Rafa also is one of the nicest guys on Tour and I look forward to our match on March 3.”
