Venus Williams, who married Italian actor Andrea Preti. Serving as a bridesmaid, the 23-time Grand Slam champion showcased the attire worn during the celebrations held in Florida. In a notable gesture, Serena gifted the newlyweds a yacht, which was also used to accommodate several wedding guests during the festivities.

Sabalenka dances the Macarena in Battle of the Sexes exhibition
The Battle of the Sexes exhibition between Aryna Sabalenka and Nick Kyrgios finally took place, ending in a straight-sets victory for the Australian (6-3, 6-3), with neither player reaching a high level of play. The world No. 1 was far from her best form and, despite certain advantages—such as a smaller court diameter—she was unable to challenge Kyrgios, who did not need to exert much effort to secure the win.
Despite the defeat in the Battle of the Sexes, Sabalenka showed her great sense of humor during the exhibition and was seen dancing the Macarena in one of the most entertaining moments of the night. The 4-time major champion later posted several photos of her participation in the exhibition and thanked the fans for the support received despite the loss to Kyrgios.
“Thank you to everyone that came out to support! I hope we were able to keep you entertained 😉 This match was good practice before the new season begins. Speaking of… I might have to take this jacket with me in the 2026 season ✨🤩 Up next @australianopen 🔜”
Saville shares pregnancy update
Australian tennis player
Daria Saville has shared several moments of how she is experiencing her pregnancy through her social media, this time alongside her husband Luke Saville and their end-of-year activities, including their Christmas celebrations. The 31-year-old, known for her resilience after overcoming multiple knee surgeries throughout her career, posted several photos showing the progress of her pregnancy and her days in Australia as the year comes to a close. The couple attended social events, media interviews, and spent time with family.
Saville, who reached a career-high World No. 20 in 2017, has been a constant presence on Australia’s Billie Jean King Cup team and one of the most charismatic players on tour. Her absence will be particularly felt during the upcoming Australian swing, where she is usually a crowd favourite at Melbourne Park.
As Monfils prepares for goodbye, Svitolina sets sights on another big season
Elina Svitolina and
Gael Monfils continue their pre-season preparations ahead of a special year for the couple, as Monfils, 39, has announced that 2026 will be the final season of his career.
The former World No. 6 has not yet revealed which tournament will be his last, but he will begin the season at the ASB Classic in Auckland, where he is the defending champion. As he prepares for his return to competition, Monfils shared an emotional reflection just days before starting what will be his farewell season.
“Final season. Today, I’m heading out for what will be my last season of tennis. A huge chapter of my life. Before I left, my daughter said to me: “Daddy, what if we put on our masks and become superheroes?
She with her Spider-Man mask, Me with my Black Panther mask. Because in her eyes, I will always be a hero. And because through her eyes, we can face the world together. I leave with that invisible mask on my heart. With pride. With gratitude. With love. One last season. For her. For me. For everything tennis has given me.”
Meanwhile, Ukrainian star Elina Svitolina, currently World No. 14, has no intention of retiring. At 31, she remains one of the tour’s most consistent players, having narrowly missed the Top 10 last season.
Despite missing the final months of competition, the former World No. 3 still managed to finish the year inside the Top 15. She will also open her 2026 season in Auckland, on the women’s side, where she will be the top seed in a draw featuring players such as Emma Navarro, Iva Jovic, and Alexandra Eala. “Festive joy with a side of flu 🤒🫠🎄
