Despite her relatively short career in the sport, Emma Raducanu has already amassed a large amount of money from different tournaments across the WTA Tour. Her earnings have seen her climb the British prize money earners but still leaves her far off the player in first place.
The current British number one has enjoyed a lot of success in her time in tennis, but it has also come at a cost. She burst onto the scene back in 2021 when she made a run to the fourth round of Wimbledon, retiring after suffering breathing problems. She then did the impossible: win the US Open. The 18-year-old at the time did not drop a set in her qualifying or main draw matches, overcoming Leylah Fernandez in the final to clinch a historic title.
As expected, that was her most lucrative year with the title at Flushing Meadows earning her an astonishing $2,500,000, and $2,807,446 overall. That has not been close to being matched, with a number of injury problems and lack of consistency on court halting what was destined to be a prosperous career in the sport. Two years on from being the sixth highest earner, she slumped to 177 after collecting just $237,627. In 2025, she has started to find her feet again, climbing back up the ladder as the 23-year-old looks to get back to the heights she once was at. Highlights include a first WTA 1000 quarter-final at the Miami Open plus a semi-final appearance in the DC Open. She racked up $1,450,476, leaving her overall total at $5,957,378
It is an impressive sum of money collected, but despite a Grand Slam triumph mixed in there she is only third on the all-time British list.

Who is ahead of Raducanu in the all-time top British WTA career prize money earners

In second place, Raducanu trails Heather Watson who sits with $5,982,374. Raducanu is shore to surpass the 33-year-old's tally relatively soon, quite possibly at the upcoming Australian Open.
Watson has this lead over her fellow British tennis player due to being in the sport a lot longer, but not with the success Raducanu has experienced. She has won a Grand Slam, coming in the 2016 Wimbledon mixed doubles before losing out in the final a year on. She is also a former singles quarter-finalist at SW19 back in 2018. Currently languishing outside of the top 200, Watson is struggling to find her past form, having not qualified for a major event outside of Wimbledon since Roland Garros 2023, making her vulnerable for Raducanu to overtake her.
This fate is not the same for Johanna Konta. The former world number four had a very successful career, halted by an early retirement at the age of 30 due to a persistent knee injury. She first made a Grand Slam semi-final in the 2016 Australian Open, backing it up a year later with a quarter-final. A last four appearance at her home Grand Slam saw her rise to her highest ranking, peaking at fourth in the world. Earlier in 2017, she won the Miami Open, her one and only WTA 1000 triumph. 2017 was her most lucrative year, bringing her in $2,931,494. This was closely followed by 2019, which saw her reach a Roland Garros semi-final before two major quarter-finals closely followed as well as a final in the Canadian Open, seeing her earn $2,173,945 that year.
She culminated with $10,008,175, just breaking the 10 million barrier in her final years on tour. She has an unassailable lead over the likes of Raducanu, with the former US Open champion having got a lot of work to do to catch up. Fortunately, she will hopefully have a long career ahead of her. Her 2016 season kick off in the United Cup from January 2-11.
