#Wimbledon's Middle Sunday CENTRE 1.30pm Rublev-Bublik Swiatek-Bencic Djokovic-Hurkacz COURT ONE 1pm Pegula-Tsurenko Sinner-Galan Azarenka-Svitolina COURT TWO 11am Vondrousova-Bouzkova Shapovalov-Safiulin
There will be no Middle Sunday off this year and just as well given the first week of Wimbledon has been a wash out at times but the schedule for Day Seven is basically set to end the opening week.
Show courts have been confirmed with Frances Tiafoe - Grigor Dimitrov conclusion and Mirra Andreeva - Anastasia Potapova among those ties which have yet to be rescheduled after being canceled as of the time of writing.
As ever, TennisUpToDate will run its rule over the main talking points in our preview of the action.
The Centre Court allocation was in many ways expected but also puzzling due to a stand-out clash being missing and now over on Court No.1.
All week due to the weather and the Centre Court starting later, they have struggled to meet the curfew and it has often stemmed from having a men's match first and last on the schedule.
That continues with Andrey Rublev facing Alexander Bublik, with the tie between Victoria Azarenka and Elina Svitolina - a story of two resurgent popular players who have had superb runs this tournament missing out.
Especially in the case of Svitolina who has reached round four back to back at Roland Garros and Wimbledon but instead, it will be on Court One.
Likely at the expense of Rublev and Bublik. But it is a game with recent form on the surface.
Rublev faced Bublik recently in Halle with the Kazakh denying Rublev a full set of ATP titles outside of the Grand Slams with a landmark ATP 500 for him and he has broken the Halle curse which usually befits those who win the title.
He has thrived since then and remains mainly due to his flair style, a real danger to Novak Djokovic who looks imperious. Still though, it is 3-1 to Rublev and he will look to carry that forward and gain Halle revenge.
Belinda Bencic was full of praise for Iga Swiatek who has fully shed the tag of being poor on grass this past week.
Reinstalling herself as a favourite, Swiatek will next face her toughest test yet in the Swiss ace.
It is a meeting which has seen a shock in favour of Bencic before back at the 2021 US Open and is their first clash since then.
Bencic has struggled since Charleston with injury losing to surprise package, Elina Avanesyan in the first round of Roland Garros.
She has since come back and defeated Katie Swan, Danielle Collins and Magda Linette and now aims to topple another Pole.
That comes second on Centre Court before Hubert Hurkacz again faces Novak Djokovic.
Hurkacz famously took a set from Djokovic in 2019 but has a poor 5-0 record in the Head to Head barring that but will know he certainly has the form to test him on this surface.
Many expect though that it could just be another road block en route to title eight.
Like alluded to, perhaps one of the casualties was Azarenka-Svitolina. But among the other big names on the outer courts include Jessica Pegula.
Pegula faces Lesia Tsurenko who famously had her marathon 38 point tie-break against Ana Bogdan. Thankfully unlike many, she had a day off meaning she should hopefully be refreshed to battle the American.
Jannik Sinner's draw was remarked as simpler than many of the contenders and he will aim for there to be no roadblocks in the way when he faces Daniel Elahi Galan before Svitolina and Azarenka take to the court.
Andreeva and Tiafoe like previously mooted still have to return and could slot in on Court Two. Marketa Vondrousova opens that court against Marie Bouzkova before Denis Shapovalov faces Roman Safiullin.
There will presumably be one more game added to that court and could see if the Centre Court or Court One slate finish early see one bumped up.
Day One of Wimbledon is almost over and the Quarter-Finals continue to take shape.
