Slovakian tennis player and former World No.93,
Andrej Martin has been banned for a period of 14 months after breaching the tennis Anti-Doping Programme.
This was determined by an independent Sport Resolutions panel after Martin failed a drug test at the Bratislava Open in June last year. The hearing took place last month.
He knowingly ingested SARM S-22 in his water bottle at a floorball tournament which he asserted was due to drinking a teammates bottle thinking it was his own.
The teammate in question came out to support Martin and say he did add ostarine drops to his water bottle.
But while they ruled that he acted with No Significant Fault or Negligence, they said tennis players should act on their own to determine what they are ingesting is legal or not and should take responsibility.
He last played in Trieste in Italy last year and was suspended soon after in August. He also played Novak Djokovic at the Serbia Open last year.
