Taylor Fritz -
Holger Rune and
Coco Gauff among others.
Our preview looks ahead to Wednesday's action at Indian Wells including the leading talking points and matches to watch.
Sabalenka, Gauff, Medvedev and Fritz-Rune lead big names
Stadium 1 sees proceedings start with Aryna Sabalenka. The World No.2 who saw off Emma Raducanu last round and she faces Emma Navarro next up who currently is level with Elena Rybakina on match wins for the season on 17 and has been steadily improving under the radar considering the amount of matches she has won over the last 12 months. But the next test is her biggest as she aims to do what Peyton Stearns couldn't do and topple the Australian Open champion.
Next up is Coco Gauff who will face Elise Mertens. It has been better from the American so far this tournament aside from Clara Burel nearly getting rid in the first round. It won't be Naomi Osaka for Gauff next as she faces Mertens.
But it is the men's matches that perhaps catch attention both on Stadium 1 and Stadium 2 as
Daniil Medvedev will face off against Grigor Dimitrov to end the day session. Dimitrov has recently encountered injuries that have beset his best form of his career, but he is seemingly back and won their last meeting at the Paris Masters. Medvedev though leads their Head to Head 6-3 going into the contest and it is perhaps the game of the day.
Same can be said for the opener to the Night Session as Taylor Fritz will face off against Holger Rune. The former won their own previous meeting back in 2023 as he sealed victory in Miami 6-3, 6-4. But Rune ever since returning to Patrick Mouratoglou has looked better than recent months. Elsewhere, Casper Ruud v Gael Monfils is the pick of the ties on Stadium 2 with Tommy Paul facing Novak Djokovic conqueror, Luca Nardi. Maria Sakkari and Daria Kasatkina will round out proceedings on Stadium 2.
