Social media apps play a key role in the determining the
fame of an athlete now a days.

Instagram is one such app where athletes are always active,
putting stories and pictures, and showcasing their activities.

the charts with 19.1 million followers on Instagram.
The 37-year-old is the second-most successful player in the
men’s single tennis history in the Open era. He is the most successful player at
French Open where he won the title 14 times.
Serbia’s
Novak Djokovic is the second-most followed tennis
star on Instagram with 13.2 million followers. The 36-year-old is the most
successful player in the history of men’s singles tennis in the Open era,
having won 23 Grand Slam titles.
Djokovic recently suffered a defeat in the final of
Wimbledon against Spain’s
Carlos Alcaraz which ended his 34-match winning
streak in the competition.
Australia’s
Nick Kyrgios is surprisingly on the third spot with
4.1 million followers. The 28-year-old is famous for his outspoken attitude and
has missed the Wimbledon 2023 because of an injury.
His best outing in a Grand Slam was last year where he played
the final in London, eventually ending up on the losing side against Djokovic
with a score of 4–6, 6–3, 6–4, 7–6(7–3).
Current world number one Alcaraz is on the fourth spot with
3.5 million followers. The 20-year-old recently clinched the Wimbledon title
which was his second Grand Slam after beating Djokovic in a marathon final on
Sunday with a score of 1–6, 7–6(8–6),
6–1, 3–6, 6–4.
Former world number one and three-time Grand Slam winner Britain’s
Andy Murray is in the eighth spot with 1.9 million followers.
