The Quarter-Finals are set at the US Open in the Women's Draw and it all begins later with Elina Svitolina, Johanna Konta, Serena Williams and Qiang Wang in action.
The first match on the Arthur Ashe Stadium sees
Elina Svitolina, the number five seed face off against
Johanna Konta, the number 16 seed.
One of the duo will reach the semi-finals at Flushing Meadows for the first time in their career. Elina Svitolina will reach back-to-back Grand Slam semi-finals if she reaches this point while Konta will look to complete the full set.
The Ukrainian ace has been very impressive these past two weeks. She has had to battle past the likes of Venus Williams, Dayana Yastremska and Madison Keys and all of this has come after she has battled injury troubles for the first part of the year.
Konta on the other hand has banished demons after arriving to Flushing Meadows on a three match losing streak but performances against the likes of Daria Kasastkina, Shuai Zhang and Karolina Pliskova, who she had a poor record against. Overall a potentially close clash between two in form stars in one of the highlights of the day.
Then it is the turn of Serena Williams who has been imperious for parts of the tournament but an injury scare has seen question marks ahead of facing Qiang Wang.
The American will have to be on her guard if there is any problems as Wang as she showed in her last tie has the giant killing ability when she
thrashed Ashleigh Barty.
