2021 J & T Banka Ostrava Open Draw including Swiatek, Kvitova, Bencic and Sakkari

Tennis will once again be played in Ostrav, Czech Republic with the J & T Banka Ostrava Open set to start on Monday.

The event is a very popular one among players and usually has a very strong field but the 2021 edition is especially strong. A few days ago, top seed Karolina Pliskova pulled out due to a wrist injury which means the top seed is Iga Swiatek. The Polish player has the first-round BYE but in the 2nd round, she could face Yulia Putintseva which is a tricky matchup.

The 2nd seed is native Petra Kvitova and after a 1st round BYE she will either face Paula Badosa or Caroline Garcia. Her draw is quite tough and it just proves how strong this WTA 500 event truly is. The defending champion is Aryna Sabalenka who defeated Victoria Azarenka in the final last year.

The 3rd seed is Belinda Bencic who has also has a 1st round BYE before possibly facing Sorribes Tormo in round 2. Maria Sakkari is the 4th seed and she might face Jelena Ostapenko in the 2nd round which is a smashing matchup.
