It will be a very strong event in South Carolina, the USA featuring some of the best players in the world including world number one
Ashleigh Barty as the top seed. The prize pool of $565,530 is also a sizeable one which attracted 8 of the top 20 players in the world.

Sofia Kenin,
Petra Kvitova,
Belinda Bencic,
Garbine Muguruza, and defending champion Madison Keys will all attend the 48th edition of the event fighting for that
prize money and WTA points.
The winner of the event will walk away with 470 WTA points and 68,570 dollars. The losing player in the final will get a consolation prize of 305 WTA points and 50,130 dollars. Semifinalists will get 185 WTA points and 26,745 dollars. The lower rounds carry fewer points and prize money.
