2022 Transylvania Open Cluj-Napoca WTA Draw including Krejcikova, Bouchard, Kalinina

The 2022 Transylvania Open in Cluj Napoca will run from October 10th to 16th with Krejcikova and Kalinina as the top seeds.

Former Roland Garros champion Barbora Krejcikova is playing a really strong indoor season and the Czech player will continue to play in Cluj Napoca. She is set to be the top seed at the WTA 250 event who should have had some more great players but injuries and other stuff prevented the likes of Halep and Raducanu to take part.

Krejcikova will open against Dalma Galfi and that is a very fair opponent for her. The second seed is Anhelina Kalinina and she will take on Eugenie Bouchard in the first round which is a far chance for Bouchard to score a major upset. If she does she might face Gracheva next.

The third seed is Ana Bogdan and she faces a very tricky opponent in Jule Niemeier. The German has been excellent this year but due to Wimbledon not awarding points she is not seeded at events yet. Another solid matchup is Marta Kostyuk taking on Jasmine Paolini which should be good as well.
