Alycia Parks keeps on struggling with her tennis as the American dropped her 5th consecutive match to Shnaider from Russia who won 6-4 6-3.
Parks was not favoured in this match simply because she's not been playing that well recently. Her last good matches happened indoors where her serve is deadly but since the Tour moved outside the American has largely struggled. This is the 5th match in a row that she lost and it came against a really talented player who flashed earlier this year in Australia.
Shnaider controlled the match really well waiting for her chance on the second serve of Parks. The American had no issues when she hit her first serve but she didn't the Russian dominated with ease. That along with 7 double faults proved really problematic for her and cost her in this match. She managed to make the first set a bit interesting with a late rally but in the end, she got broke once more.
The second set was pretty strong from Shnaider who didn't allow things to get too much out of hand. A worrying trend for Parks as she struggles to win matches outdoors.
