Outside of the big names in the WTA Rankings, the main ranking movers as of Monday come from outside the top 10 albeit most are big names who are on the move again and some on their way down. This includes Angelique Kerber, Emma Raducanu among others.
Emma Navarro though made the biggest strides outside of the top 10, she will crack the top 20 for the first time after a run which has seen her defeat Aryna Sabalenka and continue her superb rise. Marta Kostyuk will also head just below the top 25. But it is perhaps Angelique Kerber, Caroline Wozniacki and Naomi Osaka, the trio of mothers that are the most impressive.
Kerber will rise over 250 spots (265 to be exact) to World No.342 after reaching the fourth round and given she will have nothing to defend like the others, the only was is up. Wozniacki is back in to top 200 rising up 75 spots after reaching the Quarter-Final and could yet return to the top 100 after Miami. Naomi Osaka too is back inside the World's top 230 after reaching the third round.
This is also pivotal as it also negates the need for wildcards if these rises continues and means they have less chances of facing the big names early on. While those to fall include Petra Kvitova who can't defend Miami or a run in Indian Wells and will drop even further out of the top 20 after the next week. Paula Badosa will move to World No.80, while Bianca Andreescu is sliding towards leaving the top 200 after reaching World No.158.
Emma Raducanu's run to the third round was one less than last year meaning that despite progress, she still goes down 38 spots to World No.288. But the silver lining is, she hardly defends anything after April so it is only up after an initial slump.
