Barty, Kvitova and Sabalenka continue in Wuhan, Svitolina stunned by Riske

Thursday was supposed to be a day of favorites at the Wuhan Open when Barty, Sabalenka and Kvitova advanced, but Riske surprised Svitolina in the last match.
World number one Ashleight Barty opened the day at the tournament in China. Despite the loss of the set with a Martic, the Australian guarded the match victory when she won it 2-1.
Aryna Sabalenka, who had coped with Rybakina 6-3, 1-6 and 6-1, secured the spot in the semi-final. Sabalenka will meet Barty in the next round.
The third match was the shortest when Petra Kvitova coped with Dayana Yastremska in an hour and 13 minutes. The Czech thus revenged the loss of her countrywoman from the previous round.
In the last match, we saw the only surprise during the day five in Wuhan. Alison Riske dominated in the match with Elina Svitolina, defeating her 6-1 and 6-3 and meeting Kvitova in the next round.
