Coco Gauff reminded of maiden WTA title triumph in Linz four years ago: "I want to hug her"

Coco Gauff four years ago on Friday won her first WTA title in a fond moment as she sealed Upper Austria Ladies Linz. She won the title at 15 years and seven months defeating Jelena Ostapenko in the final.

It was a 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 win for the American and the moment captured which Gauff responded to is her waiting for a review in order to seal the win. She responded to the repost saying simply: "I want to hug her".

Since then of course, Gauff reached her first Grand Slam final in 2022 before creating history by winning her first Grand Slam title at the 2023 US Open.

Back in winning Linz, she was certainly not the finished article, but this title was certainly a sign of things to come.
