Elena Rybakina will not win the French Open this year with the Wimbledon champion withdrawing from Roland Garros for a yet to be specified reason.
Rybakina was due to face Sara Sorribes Tormo this afternoon on Court Phillippe Chatrier opening up proceedings.
But instead, Holger Rune will open up followed by defending champion Iga Swiatek and Alexander Zverev will end against Frances Tiafoe.

Rybakina came into the tournament in superb form and up to now has delivered on that in Paris so it is a big loss especially given the new so called Big Three alongside Aryna Sabalenka and Swiatek.
They will now be the out and out favourites to win the title over the next week and Rybakina barring if the cause is something serious will head onto her Wimbledon title defence.
