After the first day in Flushing Meadows, we know the first 32 participants of the 2nd Open at the US Open starting August 26th in New York.
The first round of qualifying at the US Open brought a variety of results. We saw an easy win of the first seeded Rybakina 6-1, 6-1. But even the almost three-hour battle between Savinykh and Tig, from which the first-mentioned came better.
The first day of men's qualifying was not successful for Americans and women did not change it. Out of the 6 US players, only one advanced to the second round. So home visitors will hope that the next day will be more successful for them.
