Hibino scores first top 5 win at Thailand Open after dumping out Svitolina in Quarter-Finals

Nao Hibino has scored her first top 5 win in her career and has defeated top seed Elina Svitolina at the Thailand Open in a brilliant 6-4, 6-2 win.
Hibino had a 0-6 career record against players in the top 10 approaching the match; but took command of the first set before claiming the surprise victory in just over an hour.
The 25-year old produced some expert tennis showing power, touch and determination to defeat a player she'd only won three games against before hand.
It serves as a killer blow for Svitolina who was expected to win in Thailand; she had played well before hand in the matches prior but has lost the last six out of seven quarter-finals.
The Japanese ace will now hope that this proves a catalyst for her to go on and claim victory in Hua Hin.
