"I'm not sure where she is physically or mentally" - McEnroe signals doubt over Raducanu

John McEnroe spoke about Emma Raducanu and the way her career is progressing lately ahead of Roland Garros expressing some doubts.

McEnroe was asked about Raducanu and the lack of a full-time coach to which he responded with:

"I didn't believe in a full-time coach either so it really depends on the player. These days it seems every player has a coach and I don't recall who it was when she won the US Open but I must admit I was surprised they parted ways after she won that; it was an incredible shock for her to win that. I'm not close enough to the situation to understand what is going on but I'm sure there is a lot of people that would want to coach her."

McEnroe was also asked about her heading into Roalnd Garros and he expressed doubt saying:

"I'm not sure where she is physically or mentally right now."

It's a fair assesment by McEnroe as Raducanu had 5 separate physical issues in five months of life on the Tour.
