The top 8 players in the race will move to Shenzen where they will contest the final WTA event of the year, the WTA Finals. Ashleigh Barty is still leading the field by a wide margin thanks to her consistent performances throughout the year as well as Wimbledon victory.

Barbora Krejcikova won the 2021 Prague Open last week which allowed her to jump up to number two in the race skipping over Sabalenka.
