Petra Kvitova played a great match on Friday in Qatar to defeat Jessica Pegula in the semifinal and set up the final against
Garbine Muguruza who advanced due to a walkover.

Qatar Open 2021 is coming to an end with only one match left to play and it will be Petra Kvitova vs Garbine Muguruza. Kvitova played a very good match against Jessica Pegula whom she defeated 6-4 6-4 in the final.
The first set was a very exciting one a Kvitova had leads two times but each time Pegula managed to make it even. In the end, she did not manage to pull the 3rd break back and Kvitova closed the set with 6-4.
The 2nd set was another interesting one as Pegula played very well at the start jumping out to a 3-0 start. Kvitova pulled one back to make it 3-2 but also lost her serve in the next game to give Pegula the 4-2 lead. After that, it was all Kvitova who won 4 games in a row to win the 2nd set 6-4 and close out the match.
She will play Garbine Muguruza in the final who advanced due to a walkover. Midway through the match Kvitova - Pegula, it was announced that Azarenka would not be able to play due to a back injury.
