Paula Badosa is finally back to winning ways earning two good wins at the Credit One
Charleston Open but she joked about reverting back to poor form if she were to face
Elena Rybakina.
Badosa has been playing a bit better this year than last year but it's still far from the best she showed the previous year. The Spaniard was very up and down so far but seems to be finding her form recently in Charleston. Two good wins are giving her confidence for the upcoming events but she joked about facing Rybakina and how it would all go away. Rybakina recently beat her twice in the past month and it's left her quite unsure about her tennis:
"I feel I'm getting there. My tennis, especially when I'm on the court, I'm feeling like the court is home again. You know, sometimes you don't feel that and lose the confidence. So I'm feeling I'm starting to get that confidence but you never know, maybe I play Rybakina again and you never know."
Asked what makes her dangerous on a tennis court, Badosa said her fitness. Matches on clay are longer because the rallies are generally longer and her fitness help her deal with that:
"I think I have very good physical [fitness]. I could stay three hours on the court, I think that helps a lot on clay court. My game as well, I like to play with a little bit of spin, especially the forehand. And I fight. I think when you fight on clay, you always have tough matches and if you are there a lot of times, the matches go on your way."
