Order of play at Jiangxi Open, Thursday, Stosur to fight for the place in quarters

Elena Rybakina and Xinyu Wang will be among the first players to appear on the courts. Both players have a very similar history of their last matches, both having qualified for the US Open and then lost the match in the first round. At the Nanchang tournament, they both won the first round match 2-1.

Sam Stosur will face Nina Stojanovic in the second round, who has not lost 12 sets in a row. The Serbian won the Changsha tournament and will be a big test for Stosur when she has eliminated second-seeded Wang at the Jiangxi Open already.

In the third match, it will be all about first seeded Zhang and her countryman Zhu. Zhang is ranked 32nd in the WTA ranking and should be a clear favorite in this match. These players met at the Jiangxi Open a year ago in the quarterfinals and Zhu won the match 2-1.

The last match will be between the former no.14 Shuai Peng and Karolina Pliskova's sister, Kristyna. Peng is currently in a very good form, having passed the qualifying at the US Open and then lost to Sakkari in the second round 2-1. Pliskova managed to win a match against Peng this year, also in China, after Peng retired in the third set.
