Raducanu and Rybakina withdraw from Cincinnati doubles after dominant singles successes

A lot of hype and intrigue centred around Emma Raducanu and Elena Rybakina who were supposed to team up for the first time in doubles with the British Number One starting to play doubles for the first time in her whole career more regularly.

The US Open and Wimbledon champion came together and were supposed to play Lucie Hradecka and Sania Mirza in the first round at the Western & Southern Open.

However after dominant singles success, they withdrew from the event and therefore, they were replaced by Caroline Garcia and Petra Martic.

Raducanu defeated Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka 6-4, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-2 while Rybakina has breezed pasted Mayar Sherif 6-3, 6-2 and Garbine Muguruza even more convincingly 6-3, 6-1.
