Roger Federer and Duchess of Cambridge join forces for London Charity event

Roger Federer will travel to London in late September to play at the Laver Cup but that's not the only thing he'll be doing there.

Federer is slated to return to tennis at the 2022 Laver Cup which will be held in the iconic O2 arena. He won't be only playing tennis there as he and the Duchess of Cambridge will play some tennis with children in need.

The Swiss ace and Kate Middleton will stage a charity event in East London ahead of Laver Cup to raise funds for children who are supported by Action for Children a charity for which the Duchess serves as a patron. The collaboration between Federer and the Laver Cup and Kate and the LTA was her idea according to a statement from Kensington Palace.

Federer expressed excitement at the prospect via. Twitter:

"Thank you for your support, and I look forward to seeing you in London!"
