Emma Raducanu due into the media room fairly soon but some cause for concern from her practice. She had her right wrist taped and twice stopped the session, once in tears. She did play on so hopefully nothing serious.
Emma Raducanu played superbly in spells during Cincinnati but a recurring problem has come back to spark injury fears going into the US Open for the Brit who will have the eyes of the tennis world firmly planted on her during Flushing Meadows next week where she will play Alize Cornet.
Raducanu was left distressed and in tears during a US Open practice session with Ekaterina Alexandrova with cause for concern due to having her right wrist taped and having to stop the session twice.
As per the media who were in attendance including the Daily Mail, it appeared that she was suffering pain in the same hand which was injured during the Australian Open which is her forehand and dominant serving hand and despite concluding the session, it is unknown whether she will be at her best come Monday.
Later this evening, she is due into press ahead of the tournament and it will likely be a big talking point.
