The 2023 Roland Garros looks to be a very interesting one and we'll break down the road to the trophy for the top four seeds Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula and Elena Rybakina.
The defending champion is Iga Swiatek and many consider her the number one favourite which is not a bad assumption to make. There will be other candidates to win the event but a lot of that will depend on how they play. We will break down the road to the trophy for all four top seeds below.

Road to Win - Swiatek

The road for Swiatek is quite hard because she would have to through a lot of great players to get to the trophy. Two of those players actually beat her this year so this is a proper challenge. It looks like this:
R1 - Bucsa
R2 - Liu
R3 - Bouzkova
R4 - Krejcikova
QF - Gauff
SF - Rybakina
F - Sabalenka

Road to Win - Sabalenka

The road isn't that much easier for Sabalenka but at first glance, it does look to be a bit easier than that of Swiatek. She hasn't played well in Paris before but none of these players is in spectacular form.
R1 - Kostyuk
R2 - Udvardy
R3 - Zhang
R4 - Pliskova
QF - Garcia
SF - Pegula
F -Swiatek

Road to Win - Pegula

Pegula has a really hard road to an eventual trophy because she's facing a player who could beat her in the first round. It doesn't get that much easier in rounds two or three or any of the following rounds. Check it out below.
R1 - Collins
R2 - Giorgi
R3 - Mertens
R4 - Samsonova
QF - Sakkari
SF - Sabalenka
F - Swiatek

Road to Win - Rybakina

Rybakina has a pretty tough road as well with some very tough early matches against good players that could technically produce an effort that could beat her in one match.
R1 - Qualifier
R2 - Noskova
R3 - Rogers
R4 -Haddad Maia
QF - Jabeur
SF - Swiatek
F - Sabalenka
