The
schedule has been confirmed ahead of Friday's action at the

preview looks ahead to the action as Quarter-Finals take precedence.
The main ties see
Emma Raducanu face off against
Paula Badosa. It is an all Belarusian tie as
Victoria Azarenka faces
Aryna Sabalenka. In the men's, it is Denis Shapovalov vs Ben Shelton as well as
Andrey Rublev taking on
Frances Tiafoe.
Washington heads towards business end
It all begins on Friday with an all American clash as Amanda Anisimova will face off against Caroline Dolehide. It has very much been a confidence boosting foray for the former who has not had the best of times since her return to the sport.
But she is a quality operator on her day and has won through qualifying all the way to the Quarter-Finals. Then it is the big tie as Emma Raducanu will face off against Paula Badosa.
Two players who have been through injury hell but are back showing some of their best form again. Ironically they were training together before the tournament began and Badosa herself spoke about their bond in a recent interview during the tournament. So certainly it will be a cordial affair between the pair.
While Denis Shapovalov will follow on in a top tie against Ben Shelton as Canada faces USA in what will be a showpiece affair. As will the final men's match as Andrey Rublev faces off against Frances Tiafoe. Two top Quarter-Final ties await. But in between that sees Aryna Sabalenka face Victoria Azarenka.
Sabalenka has become the top player from Belarus in recent years and has taken over that mantle from Azarenka who she faces. Also both have encountered issues with their shoulders in recent times and have only played here for the first time since Wimbledon. So very much a tie to watch.
Other ties to watch from outside courts include Sebastian Korda. He continues his tournament against Jordan Thompson. Albeit depending on other wins, it could get moved court wise. Robin Montgomery also has a big opportunity.
Benefitting from the withdrawal of Ons Jabeur due to injury, Montgomery will now face Marie Bouzkova for a spot in the semi-finals. As we moved towards finals weekend, it is an unmissable day in Washington.
